As you are aware, Chaplin Elementary School moved to a remote learning model effective December 21 because a member of the school community tested positive for COVID-19. Eastern Highlands Health District (EHHD) conducted an extensive investigation and determined that only one school community member was a “close contact.” This person had to immediately quarantine for the safety of all school community members. No other school community members were affected.
Accordingly, for planning purposes, we intend to have students and staff return to in-person learning on Monday, January 4. However, this situation will be continually monitored, and we will inform you if any changes occur.
